Some things, some experiences, are held in the heart
long before they are held in the hand.
We think about them.
Assign meaning to them.
Wait for the right version of ourselves to arrive first.
And then sometimes, almost by accident,
the body enters the conversation.
The weight is different than expected.
The balance feels unfamiliar.
A hand reaches for the object automatically anyway.
The body turns in an unknown but felt direction.
Not because the meaning is settled,
but because something in the body
has already begun forming a relationship.
There is a tendency to wait until everything is certain.
To delay contact until intention becomes clear.
But not every meaningful thing begins with clarity.
Sometimes it begins with handling the object
or turning toward the unknown.
Returning to it.
Letting the body learn something
before the mind fully understands why.
Until it’s time.
